By downloading, installing, or using PingWatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PingWatch is a mobile application that:

  • Monitors network quality metrics (latency, jitter, packet loss, signal strength)
  • Provides network quality scores and visualizations
  • Collects anonymized network data for crowdsourced coverage maps
  • Offers predictions and alerts about network quality

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Data Collection and Sharing

By using the App, you consent to:

  • Collection of network quality metrics from your device
  • Collection of location data (with your permission)
  • Sharing of anonymized cellular network data to improve crowdsourced coverage maps

Important: Personal WiFi network data is never shared with other users. Only cellular network and public WiFi data may be aggregated and shared.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the App or our servers
  • Submit false or misleading data

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PingWatch and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of network quality measurements
  • The availability or reliability of the service
  • That predictions will be accurate

8. Limitation of Liability

PingWatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
